For over 200 years our perfumers discover "raw materials" and carefully choose the green perfume ingredients - flowers, froots, herbs, seeds, leaves and roots from all over the world. Our engineers encourage the material's on-site processing and our explorers work hard to bring out the diversity and quality of our natural green products.
In order to ensure full quality control through out the whole production process our factory traces as far back as possible, right to the raw plant. For over 200 years we hold experts in the field of natural products that passionately and stringently develop ranges of totally pure and natural raw materials while fully complying with the strictest regulatory requirements.

About Grasse, France
Grasse, France, is known to be the green perfume capital of the world since the 16th century and until today. The French green perfume industry started in Grasse as an extension of the glove industry. Grasse had been flourishing leather and tanning center since the 13th century. When perfumed gloves became fashionable, the town provided them, and when the leather business faded away the green perfume industry replaced it.
The first distilleries were established in the Renaissance period under Catherine de Medicis reign. By the 17th century perfumers and pharmacist began settling in Grasse and in 1729 the perfumers published their official constitution. The immense knowledge acquired of odors by the "Grassois" was passed on from generation to generation to the following perfumers and technicians.
Grasse was always ideal for perfume making because of the sunshine, micro-climate and rich soil that facilitated the growth of the most delicate flowers. The altitude of the town, from 300-400 meters, and the hills behind give Grasse a fresh climate. Princess Pauline Bonaparte, the Emperor's sister, spent the winter of 1807-08 in Grasse, recuperating her mental and physical strength. Queen Victoria vacationed through several winters in Grasse and Napoleon himself passed through Grasse on 2 March 1815, but didn't have time for vacationing.
Today, raw materials are sent to Grasse from all over the world to be treated in the industrial side of the perfume business, which is located in the countryside and villages surrounding Grasse. The world perfume capital’s activity is mainly turned towards international relations, which means that the thirty or so perfume factories in Grasse actually provide perfume for the global market.
